The Passion of The Christ, unseen: The spiritual agonies.

The movie “The Passion of the Christ” directed by Mel Gibson and starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ; is an incredible masterpiece describing the physical pains, sufferings and the passion of Jesus in the moments leading to the Crucifixion on the cross.  As clearly as the movie was trying to portray the truth, yet the situation was still not as gruesome and as complete as the biblical truth; no man could have endured such agony and yet still able to carry the wooden cross to mount Golgotha.  That was probably one reason why Jesus fell down few times on the way to the Calvary, and was assisted by a passer-by to carry His cross, and Jesus was only able to stay alive on the cross for a few hours as compared to 1 to 3 days as prescribed by medical science for those crucifixion bearers during the era.

This video animation link was produced by New Creation Church Singapore, Pastor Joseph Prince had seen in his spirit of what happened during the 3 dark hours when Jesus was hung on the cross, and following His crying out loud: “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?…”

What we saw in the physical realm was merely physical tortures that Lord Jesus went through, but we do not see in the spiritual realm which was much worse than the physical, why ? ; we can see proven by these 2 points:

1) Jesus was sweating blood during His last hours in the garden of Gethsemane; and as He was praying to Father God in Matthew 26:39 “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

The very thought of Lord Jesus who is the Holy GOD, to become the sins for the world, has put tremendous pressures on His blood capillary, and Medical science explained: this could have caused the burst in the fine Blood-Capillaries which then mixed with the body fluid sweat from the head.

2) Jesus cried out “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?…” was confirming this tremendous mental torture His facing the spiritual agony of becoming the sins for the world.  Jesus did not cry out this when He underwent the physical torture, but instead when he was going to undergo the spiritual torture.

We hope viewers can appreciate more of the passion of Lord Jesus, who went through this physical, mental, and spiritual tortures for us, He receive the full punishment that you and I were supposed to bear, He bore all of our sins for us (past, present & future sins), set us free and reunited us back as a family of God by taking on His own sufferings.  Salvation is free for us, but not free for HIM.  Jesus had paid it so dearly, because He loved us.
